Repeat Prescriptions

Prescriptions

Repeat prescriptions are only authorised by doctor if you have consulted, understood and agreed to abide by the rules of the repeat prescription scheme and with regular review with the doctor/nurse and/or hospital.

To request a repeat prescription please tick the required items on the prescription slip and then post into the surgery mailbox (located on Jephson Road), or post it to the surgery or you can request your medication online (requests will not be accepted by telephone or fax or issued in appointment times). Alternatively you can arrange with your local pharmacy to request your medication on your behalf.

Please allow 48 working hours prior to collection of your medication from the pharmacy.

All prescriptions are sent electronically to your nominated pharmacy within 48 hours of the request. (Please note certain exceptions may apply eg controlled drugs, high risk medications).

Non-urgent advice: New patients please note

When you require a “repeat” of the medication given to you by your previous GP, please arrange an appointment with your new Doctor in the first instance and have the box which contains your current treatment and your prescription side slip.
